You’re invited to a FREE WorldStrides Weekend in Washington D.C.!
Come join other educators from across the country for three days and two nights in our nation’s capital. You’ll have the opportunity to network with other educators, learn more about WorldStrides, see how a WorldStrides travel program works, all while having an amazing time touring the many iconic memorials and monuments our country’s most iconic destination. Best of all, this trip is completely free to you!
To secure your spot, simply complete this form and WorldStrides will take care of the rest. You must complete your registration by March 31, 2024 in order to secure your spot on the trip.
Schedule of Events
The event takes place Friday, May 3 – Sunday, May 5, 2024 and will include all the following amazing activities.
Our host hotel for the weekend will be the Renaissance Arlington Capital View. (please do not contact the hotel directly with questions.)
Friday, May 3
- Arrivals throughout the day
- 5:00pm: Happy Hour and Ice Breaker
- 6:00pm: Taste of D.C. Dinner Event
- 7:30pm: Night Tour of Washington D.C.: Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, World War II Memorial, Jefferson Memorial
Saturday, May 4
- 7:00am: Breakfast
- 7:30am: WorldStrides Orientation Session
- 8:30am: Professional Development Session
- 10:00am: U.S. Capital Grounds Tour
- 11:30am: 9/11 Pentagon Memorial
- 12:45pm: Lunch at Pentagon City Food Court
- 2pm: Afternoon Monument Tours: Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and Korean War Memorial.
- 4:00pm: WorldStrides Office Hours: Dedicated time to speak one on one with WorldStrides team members
- 5:30pm: Happy Hour with a facilitated Q & A session
- 6:30pm: Dinner
Sunday, May 5
- 8am: Breakfast
- 9:30am: White House (picture stop)
- 10:30am: Arlington National Cemetery
- 12:00pm: Picnic Lunch at Iwo Jima Memorial
- 1:00pm: Buses drop at airport
