We the People
High School
National Invitational

We invite you to join the Center for Civic Education at the We the People National Invitational, April 29 – May 3, 2016. Over the course of five days, high school classes from throughout the country will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of civics and government. Modeled after the highly successful We the People National Finals program, which just completed its 28th annual competition, the National Invitational gives each student the opportunity to participate in simulated congressional hearings and experience our nation’s capital. Your class may compete at the national level without winning your state competition.

This event is open to all high school classes that will participate in a competitive hearing at the district, regional, or state level during the 2015-16 school year. This is your chance to broaden your students’ views, exposing them to an entirely new way of learning beyond your classroom walls. You can be the teacher who brings civics to life for your students!

STATE COMPETITORS: Make plans now and guarantee your space to compete in Washington, D.C., in the spring. Should your class win at the state level, your registration can shift automatically from the National Invitational to the National Finals, but either way you will compete at the national level.
