A network of resources devoted to your peace of mind

With nearly 50 years of experience in educational travel, WorldStrides exceptional safety record makes it clear that our dedication to the well-being of our travelers is second to none. Preparation, readiness, response – these are the words that guide our risk management philosophy.

Understanding the world

We partner with leading risk organizations, government agencies, and on-the-ground operators for a real understanding of the political, religious, and cultural climates our students will encounter during their visits. Our management team undergoes extensive training and scenario analysis to prepare for potential crises in regions across the globe.

Contingency planning

With our strategic partners, we’ve created easy-to-read safety guidelines that include country and issue-specific plans for a range of situations. Our team monitors U.S. State Department and International SOS alerts, and all U.S. citizens enrolled in our programs are registered with the U.S. State Department.

Tour Central

Our 24/7 Tour Central team is always awake and working. If a crisis does happen, help from a specialized hub of action-oriented, resolution professionals is a single phone call away.

Doctors on Call

Our partnership with the prestigious George Washington University Department of Emergency Medicine gives us access to doctors who are available 24 hours a day to provide phone consultations and treatment recommendations for our program participants.

Insurance

At $50 million, our professional liability coverage is the strongest in the industry. Combined with primary medical insurance in the amount of $7,500 plus embedded coverage of $50,000 medical evacuation and $25,000 repatriation coverage, everyone on your program is covered beyond what may be included in your university’s own policies.

Executive Leadership

Rick Rosenfeld, Vice President of Risk Management and Client Services, brings decades of experience that guides WorldStrides’ approach to preparedness and planning for global programs. A seasoned global traveler himself, Rick coordinates the risk management activities related to all WorldStrides Capstone programs and serves as the division’s primary liaison with risk management associations and the U.S. Department of State.
