Recipe for Success for High School Groups

The key to successful trip promotion is getting all the students excited about your trip.  Personally inviting each student and hosting a fun Trip Meeting for the parents and students is the best way to get started.

#1 Invite all students on your trip :  Announce your trip in your classes and invite everyone eligible to attend the trip. Show the students your excitement by personally inviting each one. Announce you’ll be hosting a meeting to review the details, and have your students write down the date and time for the Trip Meeting. and tell them to tell their parents right away.

#2 Pass out the Trip Meeting Reminder Flyers :
We’ll provide you with customizable flyers to distribute to your students in person or via email, inviting them along with their parents to your Trip Meeting. Hand these flyers out one to two days before the meeting to get the students excited about the trip again and remind parents.

#3 Host your fun and informative Trip Meeting:
Speak with your WorldStrides partner about if a remote or in-person meeting is the right choice for your group. We make hosting your meeting easy by providing you with a customized presentation to walk through the specifics of your trip. When possible, we’ll be also happy to join you for the presentation.

Tips for Hosting a Virtual Meeting

There are many advantages to hosting your Trip Meeting virtually. We can easily have a member of our team join you, and it’s even easier for remote parents or students to join from home. Here’s how to get started:

  • Zoom is a great platform for hosting virtual meetings. Many schools are offered free accounts right now, and this platform gives you many controls during the meeting. Here’s a guide to walk you through the process.
  • Set up your Parent Meeting and invite all your students and/or families to attend. You’ll need to have their email addresses in order to send them the invitation.
  • We’ll provide you with a customizable invitation template to share with your families inviting them to attend the meeting.
  • We’ll join you at the meeting if we are able, and we will also provide you a fully customized presentation to show during the meeting. This presentation walks through every detail of the trip from inclusions and itinerary stops to payment plan information and next steps.

If your school uses a different platform or you need support hosting in-person, no problem! We’re here to help. Just get in touch with your WorldStrides representative.
