This two-step process practically guarantees the success of your trip while maximizing the number of students joining you for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Follow these steps exactly and watch your sign-ups soar!
- Ingredient 1: Getting the Students Excited for Your Trip
The success of your trip starts with the students being excited about all they will do and see with their friends and showing them our destination video is the best way to ensure their excitement. After they see the video, you want the students telling mom and dad “I want to go on this trip!” - Ingredient 2: Getting the Parents Supportive of and Excited for Your Trip
With the students excited, the parents are sure to follow. But parents by nature will have some questions, and the tools of the Recipe, centered around hosting a meeting for the families, provide the right balance of information to answer those questions so that they become supportive of this incredible opportunity.

How to Get the Students Excited for Your Trip
Your WorldStrides Representative will provide you with an email template to send to all the students in the targeted grade. It’s critical that every student receive this email so that they can watch the destination video. Start thinking now about how to get this video out to all the students.
- Can you contact all the other teachers in the targeted grade(s) and have them forward the email to the students for you?
- Can you share the email on your school website?
- Can you share on a Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter page that you create for your trip?
- Do you know of one or two students that can help you spread the word to other students?
The more students that watch the video, the more successful your trip promotion will be!
How to Promote Your Parent Meeting to your Families
With the students excited for your trip, the next step is announcing the parent meeting to your parents. Your WorldStrides Representative will set up a virtual parent meeting for you and will provide you with an email template to share with your families. This email will provide all the important details on how to attend this virtual meeting. As with Ingredient 1, the more families you sent the Parent Meeting Invitation Email to, the more that will be in attendance at your meeting.
Hosting Your Virtual Parent Meeting
Your WorldStrides Representative will assist you in hosting a virtual Zoom meeting for your families. They’ll create a custom presentation for you and will walk your families through this presentation. Your goal – ensure you get the families of at least 15 students represented at the meeting.
Keeping the Excitement Going for Your Trip
After you’ve successfully completed Ingredient 1 and 2 of the Recipe, your WorldStrides Representative will work with you to keep the excitement high for your trip. They’ll provide you with additional emails, flyers and other fun tools for you to share with your families.
