Charlottesville Teacher Orientation Weekend

Congratulations! You have qualified for a FREE trip to Charlottesville, VA!

We look forward to getting to you know better in Charlottesville during our Teacher Orientation Trip. You’ll join other educators from all across the country for three days and two nights: you’ll have the opportunity to network with other educators, learn more about WorldStrides, see how a WorldStrides travel program works, all while having an amazing time touring some of the historic sites that are nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Best of all, this trip is completely free to you!

To secure your spot, simply complete this form and WorldStrides will take care of the rest. You must complete your registration by March 31, 2024 in order to secure your spot on the trip.

The event takes place Friday, April 12 – Sunday, April 14, 2024 and will include all the following amazing activities.

  • Tour of Ashland-Highland, former home of our 5th President, James Monroe
  • Lunch at Michie Tavern
  • Tour of Monticello, former home of our 3rd President, Thomas Jefferson
  • Happy Hour at FAQ Session
  • Group Dinner

Sunday, April 14

  • Breakfast

Commonly Asked Questions

What is covered with this trip and do I have to pay anything? WorldStrides will cover the cost of your flight to and from Charlottesville, your hotel accommodations, and the meals and activities stated in the above schedule. Any costs associated with baggage fees or additional meals or souvenir shopping are not covered by WorldStrides.

Can I arrive early or extend my stay? Yes, WorldStrides will work with you on your flights to arrive early or to extend your stay. It is your responsibility to arrange additional nights accommodations and those costs will be your responsibility. Any other costs incurred for additional days/nights of the trip (food, airport transfers, etc.) will also be your responsibility.

When will my travel arrangements be made? Upon completing the RSVP form, a WorldStrides representative will provide you with instructions to book your flights to and from Charlottesville. We’ll utilize our event travel partner, Navan, to make those reservations. We’ll communicate specific instructions to you within a week of submitting your RSVP.
