Celebrating 15 Years as WorldStrides

On March 1, 2001, Lakeland Tours became WorldStrides. This week, we’re celebrating 15 years as WorldStrides, the leader in educational travel. Our CEO, Jim Hall, realized he has the perfect photo to mark the occasion.

“As I was sitting in my office this week looking at a couple of pictures on the wall, I remembered that it was 15 years ago this month that we adopted WorldStrides as the name of our company,” he said. “This is a picture of Edison Middle School from Ohio. It was the very first group to travel after we changed the company name!”

Learn more about WorldStrides’ history.

Here’s to many more years of dreaming big and giving students and teachers who travel with us confidence and big ideas for the future.
