We can’t wait to host you at our Spring 2023 Warm-Up Weekend in New York City! You’ll meet our team, see our events in action, and network with like-minded Directors from across the country.
Below you’ll find the weekend’s itinerary. All activities are subject to change. If you have any questions, please call Stephanie Harrington at 770-262-8081.
Our host hotel for the weekend is: Hilton Midtown, 1335 6th Avenue, New York, NY, 10019. Please do not contact the hotel directly with questions. Your accommodations have been taken care of.
Warm-Up Weekend Itinerary:
Friday, March 24
- Hotel Check-in at front desk. For luggage storage if unable to check-in early, head to Concourse A (level below lobby).
- 4-5pm: Pick up your welcome bag and meet your Warm-up Weekend staff at Concourse level (level below lobby).
- 6pm: Meet in Hotel Lobby to walk as a group to dinner – Meet on 6th Avenue side by main entrance.
- Dinner at Havana Central.
- Free time in Times Square or on your own.
Saturday, March 25
- Anytime from 7-8:30am: Enjoy breakfast at your leisure at Herb N’ Kitchen restaurant on lobby level of Hilton hotel (breakfast voucher to be provided in your welcome bag).
- 8:30am: Meet in Hotel Lobby for Uber transport to Riverside Church (Heritage Festival venue). Meet on 6th Avenue side by main entrance.
- Visit to Riverside Church (Heritage Festival venue).
- Group activity
- 11:30am: Lunch at Hard Rock Café
- Free time on your own, or optional group activity.
- 5pm: WorldStrides Happy Hour & Dinner Reception at Hilton Midtown in Rendezvous Room on the 3rd Floor.
- 7:15pm: Depart hotel to walk as group to Broadway.
- 8pm: Moulin Rouge on Broadway
Sunday, March 26
- Anytime from 7-8:30am: Enjoy breakfast at your leisure at Herb N’ Kitchen restaurant on lobby level of Hilton hotel (breakfast voucher to be provided in your welcome bag).
- 8:30am: Meet in Hotel Lobby to walk as a group to Rockefeller Center – Meet on 6th Avenue side by main entrance.
- Top of the Rock tour
- 11am: Lunch at Redeye Grill
- 1pm: Festival at Carnegie Hall concert performance starts (doors open at 12:15pm)
Important notes:
- New York is a highly walkable city. If you have mobility issues or are concerned about traveling on foot, please let us know ahead of time. We will often walk between activities up to 10 minutes. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes.
- *Arrival day: If you arrive early and would like to check-in to the hotel early and/or store your luggage at the hotel while you explore, let us know in advance so we can arrange this for you.
- Transfers to/from airport: You’ll be provided an Uber voucher as required to travel to and from the airport.
- Departure day: The performance at Carnegie Hall is from 1pm til approximately 4:30pm. If you need to leave early for a flight, please let us know in advance so we can seat you appropriately. You may store your luggage at the hotel on departure day as well.
